COVID HEART – It is still creeping at places.
23-08-2024: A case visited us after several visits to three known hospitals in our area.
PRESENT CONDITION: She is 40 and suffered from Exertional Angina, Left sided Chest Pain, Shortness of Breath that all aggravated upon walking 40 to 50 steps.
TESTS: Cardiac Echo, Angiography, ECG, CBC was completed over several weeks along with a bag of medicines as each prescription constituted of 4 to 7 medicines. History was taken.
CAUSATION: We found out all her complains started about 2 months back after a weeklong spell of severe shattering cough and fever. So, we turned to CBC of those days and found reduced Lymphocytes, that raised doubts of some diseases including COVID-19. Further case taking gradually cleared that she was free of typhoid effects and we Steth checked all the heart valves and lungs that were clear but while checking the Tri-Cuspid there was some odd crackles that disappeared when we asked the patient to hold her breath for few seconds. She said she still experience fever with some shivering late at night.
CLINCAL DIAGNOSIS: COVID-heart.
TREATMENT: Single dose at clinic and to remain under observation for 60 minutes.
OBSERVATION: After 20 minutes, she said the weight she was feeling on her chest is removed and it is easy to breathe.
PRESCRIPTION: She was prescribed homeopathic remedy and asked to report after 4 days.
PATIENT SATISFACTION INDEX: She was already feeling better while leaving. SATISFIED.
